One day at a class in an elementary school, the past and future comes into the present. The teacher looks like a child while the students look like adults who work such as reporter, politician, and others. This short film explores the inner childhood of an adult and children’s future.
“Time Machine” gives visual meanings that viewers would wonder: Should I move on to grow up and forget about my childhood days or not? Should children worry about how their future be or not? Each adult, like the teacher, has their own inner childhood and youth that they would wish to go back. On the other hand, students are the adults with their future careers which either good or bad. It is whether they would be happy or miserable for the rest of their lives.
A short film invites viewers to question about themselves on the binary oppositions and balance between being a child and an adult. Each viewer will have different interpretation in answering questions about their past and future. It is based on how it is related to what are they going to do for the rest of their life. At the same time, viewers will think about what right and wrong that are and could applied to different time dimensions at steady pace. There are times that their childhood memories should not be forgotten while paving their future path with courage and determination. It is the choice of what will make them happy.
